How to Follow This Blog

In short: add this link  to your RSS reader.

What is RSS?

RSS is a universal subscribe button—a simple protocol that allows you to stay up-to-date with you favourite creators. It powers all podcasts and is used widely to distribute many newspapers and blogs.

Sadly, RSS feeds are rarely advertised because they aren’t very monetizable. There are no ads, algorithms, or other dark patterns. Like email, it is a simple, time-tested technology that accomplishes one thing and does it well.

How to use it

My personal feed looks like this. I follow the blogs and threads I care about and read what looks interesting on my own time:

To get started, install an RSS reader. Personally, I use the excellent Reeder 5 ($5) app on my iPad, but NetNewsWire (free), Feedly and Inoreader are excellent alternatives.

I would love to hear what you thought of this post. Loved it? Hated it? Want to share your hand-written poem with me via carrier pigeon? That might be challenging—try sending me an email.

You can get updates when I post something new.
