Third Year

Apr 16, 2023

This is a now page. I post one often, and you should too. It’s the best way to connect with people you don’t talk to often. You can read them all here.

Third year was the hardest of my life. Between the painful end to a relationship, seven courses a term, and ongoing struggles with my health I fell to new lows, yet learned to keep moving even against the strongest of currents.

Kaslo

The highlight of this year was 4 days spent skiing with Neil. My father co-maintains a remote ski cabin in the Kaslo backcountry, and the snow rarely disspoints. I dragged around an eight-pound drone and edited a short video.

Much of this terrain has likely never been touched.

Laura

In December, a new relationship begins! Her name is Laura and I love her.

Golden

A spontaneous trip to Golden to cross-country ski, explore natural (and not-so-natural) hot springs, and enjoy the company of my best friends.

Ice Climbing

Getting rope-gunned up A Scottish Tale WI4/M? by Nicholas with Sam and I in tow. A brilliant lead–thin, sparsely protected, and very wet.

Skiing

As always, plenty of skiing to keep my mind off school.

It goes on, and on, and on. The wheels keep turning and the mills keep milling.
